My friend Jeanne and I have a ritual we kicked off a year ago: we send each other a text sharing our self-love action for the day. Sometimes it’s a walk to the beach, a tea date or a soak in the tub. Other times, it’s as simple as fifteen minutes of chill time. The key is to be pro-active and actively seek out something each day that we do to show love for ourselves.
This morning my self-love was having a Valentine’s bagel sandwich at one of my favorite coffee shops with my husband, John, and daughter, Hannah.
And as soon as I post this blog, I’m going to turn on a guided meditation and spend a few minutes just being before I launch into my work day.
I hope you’ll give it a try. Because the more love we give ourselves, the more love we have to share with others.
